Well! Life sure brought me a surprise! I had a commenter the other day; the lovely Lizaanne left me a charming comment. I checked out her blog and, lo and behold, it was all about “Doctor Who”, reviews and the like. I toured it and have now deduced that I may become a frequent visitor!
Unfortunately I can’t watch “Doctor Who” until Friday. That’s when it’s next scheduled to air in my neck of the woods. I’m looking forward to that, but I’m looking even more fervently to Saturday when the episode “The Sound of Drums” is aired. Who is this ‘The Master’? I hold my breathe eagerly.
I’m about to switch gears completely and talk about something serious. One of my closest friends is having surgery performed on her today. She has multiple sclerosis. I wish I could be up with her at the hospital, but it’s a four hour drive and she said she doesn’t want people visiting her so soon.
She’s the kind of person who hates showing weakness of any kind, having to be completely helpless for at least a few weeks is going to very hard for her. I wouldn’t be welcome for at least two weeks from now.
I’m just so worried about her. The last time she had to undergo surgery she almost died; the metal rods they had put in got infected. This time they’re removing a vertebrae.
She’s so brave, but she’s so young, you know? She lists off these horrible statistics with such utter lack of emotion; she shouldn’t have to act so bravely. I want her to lean on me, to feel safe to cry around me. But I’ll be happy is she gets through this with no complications.
She’s never going to be able to ride a roller coaster again.
Sorry for all these sad words. It’s just what’s going through my mind.
If you’re religious please pray for her.
If you’re not, listen to a “Beatles” song. They’re her favorite band.
Hey, thanks for the nice review!
You’re my first one. I’ll be coming back to read your blog, too. We can have a mutual appreciation society.
As far as Doctor Who viewing, you’re going to love The Master! If you want to see some of the older episodes (and new ones, too) check out the site below for videos of ALL Who episodes. It is quite the treasure trove:

I’m so sorry to hear about your friend. I hope she comes through with flying colors.

Hi, I came here to comment back about how adorable it is that you fall asleep in your ice cream bowls, and found something fantastic.
I’m not religious, but I will keep your friend in my thoughts. And listen to a Beatles song. =]
You have a wonderful writing style! I’M HOOKED!
Oh and your title?
TOTALLY KICKASS.
